Demography
Gujjarwal population is approx 5000. Demographically very diverse--includes every cast, religion and culture. The departure of some Hindu families in early 1990's during insurgency days can be considered a saddest era. Gujjarwal "bazaar" was a very famous market in the region which has lost its glamour over the time.
Gujjarwal High School
One of only three schools in the whole district of Ludhiana, Gujjarwal school is the oldest. Established in 1857, the only school in region at that time, the students would come from as far as 20 km. Became a middle school in 1878 and hence upgraded to high school in 1923.
Guru Sar Manji Sahib
Gujjarwal is blessed with visit of sixth guru Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji in 1631. Chowdhry Fatuhi at that time was the chief of Gujjarwal. Guruji camped 1 mile south of village Gujjarwal. An incident happened when Chowdhary Fatuhi refused to hand over his beloved "falcon" on guru's demand. A historical Gurdwara Manji Sahib is located at this place
